How to Measure at Home
Method 1: The Existing Ring
- Select a ring that already fits the intended finger perfectly.
- Use a ruler to measure the inside diameter of the ring in millimeters (measure straight across the inside center, excluding the metal walls).
- Match this measurement to the Inside Diameter column in our chart to find your size.
Method 2: The Paper Ribbon
- Cut a thin strip of paper or a piece of non-stretchy string.
- Wrap it comfortably around the base of your finger. Make sure it can slide smoothly over your knuckle.
- Mark the exact point where the paper or string overlaps.
- Lay it flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimeters—this is your inside circumference.
Important Tips from the byoro Concierge
- Timing is Everything: Measure your fingers at the end of the day when your hands are warm. Fingers tend to be smaller in the cold and can swell slightly in hot weather or in the morning.
- The Band Width Rule: If you are planning a ring stack or choosing a wider, bolder statement band, we recommend sizing up by half a size or one full size for a more comfortable fit.
- Between Sizes? If your measurement falls between two sizes on our chart, we always recommend choosing the larger size.
